Everybody has rhythm

Everyone has rhythm. From the steady beat of our heartbeat to the natural patterns in walking, breathing, and speaking, rhythm is something we all experience every day. Learning drums is really about discovering and developing that rhythm that already exists inside you. With practice, guidance, and a little curiosity, students learn how to listen, feel the pulse of the music, and express themselves through the drums. At Fundamental Drum Academy, the goal is to help each student unlock their natural sense of rhythm and build the confidence to play and enjoy music.

Josh is a drummer and teacher who believes that great music starts with strong fundamentals and a genuine love for rhythm. With years of experience playing drums and exploring music, he is passionate about helping students discover their own musical voice while building solid technique and confidence. Josh’s teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student, creating a supportive environment where beginners and developing drummers can grow at their own pace. Through lessons that focus on rhythm, coordination, listening, and creativity, students learn not only how to play the drums, but how to enjoy the process of making music.
